What is interesting about the province of Newfoundland and Labrador is that more than 90 percent of the province population inhabits an island of Newfoundland and about half of those people live in Avalon Peninsula. A so-called Newfoundland English is spoken by 97 percent of the province’s population. Capital and the largest city of the province is St. John’s.
